FRESH Damon Cotton Cardigan in Washed Black

Having recently introduced our Sailing Against the Wind theme in the form of a retro inspired sweatshirt design, we continue to expand on this world with an exciting new range of products.

Allowing childhood nostalgia to embrace contemporary style, this collection is comparable to incoming waves gently lapping against the sartorial shores of our most cherished memories.

Made in Italy, where seafaring and maritime culture can be traced right back to ancient times. These premium garments take their design cues from the type of nautical aesthetic that became synonymous with Mediterranean yachting clubs and marinas during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Imbued with the easy going attitude of a setting sun disappearing slowly into the sea, these are garments for soothing the soul with the sand between your toes. 

With a vintage-inspired look and a relaxed fit, this cardigan is crafted entirely from recycled cotton - the original fibres are broken down and reprocessed, giving new life to pre-loved materials.

Two different yarns are used, each knitted on a separate machine: one for the jersey structure and another for the sweatshirt-like texture. The fabric undergoes a plating technique, followed by an industrial print process using giant rollers. It's then washed at 80°C with enzyme treatments, a method typical of the 1990s, which gives this piece its distinctive heritage character.
